Cookie Policy

Last updated: 06 November 2026  ·  Applies to unikflux.com

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so that the experience works correctly on your next visit.

This policy also covers localStorage, a similar browser-based storage mechanism that works without an expiry date and is never sent to our servers. We use localStorage to remember your privacy preference on this page.

2. How We Use Cookies

UnikFlux uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, or sell data to third parties. The table below lists every cookie or browser storage entry we set.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising or analytics tracking on this website.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

The session cookie (PHPSESSID) is strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without it, you cannot log in or use any authenticated feature. Because it is essential, it does not require your consent under EU GDPR or Lei n.º 41/2004.

This cookie contains only a random session identifier. It does not store your name, email, or any personal data.

4. Your Choices

For cookies that require consent (functional and third-party cookies), you may withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and localStorage data, or by using your browser's built-in privacy controls.

How to manage cookies in your browser:

  • Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using authenticated areas of the platform. Blocking third-party cookies from Google or Cloudflare will not affect core functionality.

5. Legal Basis

UnikFlux is the trading name of UnikFlux Technologies Unipessoal Lda, a company registered in Portugal. Our use of cookies is governed by EU GDPR (Regulation 2016/679) and Lei n.º 41/2004 (transposing the ePrivacy Directive into Portuguese law), supervised by the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Our servers are located in Germany, within the European Union. All data collected through cookies and browser storage remains within the EU and is not transferred to third countries.

As an EU-based entity, EU GDPR applies to all users regardless of their country of residence, including users based in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Strictly necessary cookies are placed on the lawful basis of legitimate interests and performance of a contract. All other cookies are placed only with your consent.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use or when the applicable law changes. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by displaying a renewed notice on the website.

7. Contact Us

If you have questions about our use of cookies or wish to exercise your rights under data protection law, please contact us:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD (Portugal) as our lead supervisory authority, or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
